Charles Edward Lewis, 75, of Marmaduke died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at his home.

He was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Malden, Mo., to the late Paul and Marcella (Schultz) Lewis. He was retired from the railroad and from Monroe Company.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Huffstutler) Lewis of Marmaduke; three sons and their wives, Gary and Kathy Lewis of Paragould, Larry and Kelly Lewis of Paragould and Alan and Mary Lewis of Fort Smith; three daughters and their husbands, Rhonda and Charles Reed of Paragould, Diana and David Broyles of Fort Smith and Carolyn and Gerald Ball of Gainesville; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry and Bobby Lewis of Michigan, and two sisters, Jeanette Able of Michigan and Barbara Hackworth of Little Rock.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. David Floyd officiating. Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
