Randy Hoskins

Randy Lynn Hoskins, 49, of Jonesboro, son of retired Piggott Postmaster Bobby Hoskins and retired Walcott Postmaster June Hoskins of Piggott, died Thursday, Jan. 08, 2009, at his home of natural causes.

Born in Flint, Mich., Randy was a 1978 graduate of Jonesboro High School. He lived in Richardson, Texas, for 24 years before moving back to Jonesboro in 2004. He was a project engineer in the telecommunications industry and worked several years for Cais Internet in Dallas.

He was a member of Covenant Church in Dallas and enjoyed water skiing, scuba diving and the computer. He also was a helicopter pilot and an avid auto mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Annette Hoskins of the home; two sons, Matt Hoskins of Paragould and Josh Hoskins and wife Lana of Brookland; one daughter, Courtney Bounds and husband Tyler of Jonesboro; one sister, Kim Young of Rancho Cucamong, Calif., and one granddaughter, Olivia Bounds.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 10, in Emerson Memorial Chapel at Jonesboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
