Rector got out to a 15-5 lead following a solid first quarter and built their advantage from there, leading 29-12 at the half and 55-19 going into the fourth.
The win marked the third straight conference victory.
"This is the tough part of our schedule when we start seeing teams in our conference every night," head coach Mark Manchester said. "We're working hard and are looking to come out ready to play every night."
Three Lady Cougars reached double figures in scoring on the night. Crissy Crawford finished with 16 to lead Rector. Stephanie DeMent and Hillary Calhoun added 15 and 13 each in the win. Also scoring were Rhoda Classen 8, Destinei Heathcott 3, Sarah Hester 3 and Cheyenne Steward 2.
Junior girls
The Junior Lady Cougars fell to Marked Tree in their contest, 43-33.
Rector led 10-9 after the first quarter, but fell behind 20-16 at intermission. By the time the fourth quarter began, the junior girls trailed 32-22.
Heather Scott finished with 13 to lead Rector. Allison Duncan added 10 points and 14 rebounds. Also scoring were Amanda Bradford 9, Kelly Fowler 4, Kelsey Wynn 3, Casey Hollis 2, Jesse Scott 1 and Ashley Arnold 1.
Senior girls win big
The Lady Cougars imposed their will upon guest Cross County last Thursday, 58-21.
Rector managed a 19-8 first quarter advantage and began leaving their opponent behind from there. The lead grew to 35-14 at the half before swelling to 55-19 through three quarters.
Eight Lady Cougars reached the scorer's column on the night. Calhoun and DeMent led the way 11 points each. Also scoring for Rector were Rebecca Dodd 9, Heathcott 9, Crawford 6, Classen 6, Hester 5 and Emily Cornelison 1.
Junior girls roll
The Junior Lady Cougars eased to a 58-9 win over Cross County.
Rector led throughout: 19-0; 36-0 and 52-9.
Heather Scott and Jesse Scott led the way with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Also scoring were Wynn 8, Fowler 8, Bradford 8, Duncan 7, Kaitlyn Essman 3 and Arnold 3.
The Lady Cougars are scheduled to visit Lepanto to face EPC beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday before hosting Turrell beginning at 6 p.m. Monday.
