Norma Faye Whitaker

Norma Faye Whitaker, 90, of Rector died Friday, Feb. 6, at the Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation in Rector.

She was born July 28, 1918, in Leonard to the late Norman and Calva (Randleman) Whitaker.

She also was preceded in death by her brother, Irvin Whitaker, and two sisters, Mary (Whitaker) Vangilder and Nell (Whitaker) Jenkins.

Survivors include one brother, Bernie Whitaker of Rector; one sister, Iva (Whitaker) Vangilder of Rector; one sister-in-law, Willodean (Hardin) Whitaker of Rector, and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with David Floyd officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
