Henry Edd Donner

Henry Edd Donner, 98, of Piggott died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Mo. He was born May 15, 1910, in Valemeyre, Ill., and was the son of the late Albert and Caroline (Burgett) Donner.

He was married to Jannie Wagner on Nov. 25, 1930, and she preceded him in death in July 1983.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Milton Carroll Donner, five sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include his daughter, Una Graddy and husband J.E. of Piggott; son, Terry Donner and wife Sharon of Bartow, Fla.; five grandchildren, Merita Hanna, Nancy Ludden, Cindy Anchor, Sandy Walters and Stanley Graddy; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Otto Donner and wife Elsie of Manila; two sisters, Elvina Bollinger of Manila and Lillian Fowler of Jonesboro, along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Father Glen Eftink officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Pollard, Carl Pollard, Dallas Pollard, Donald Benson, Willard Whaley and Vance Whaley.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the giver's favorite charity.
