Robert Earl Neeley

Robert Earl Neeley, 83, of McDougal died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Murphy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Piggott. He was born June 8, 1925, the son of the late Grover and Lula (Harris) Neeley.

He was married to Virginia Ethridge Jan. 6, 1945, and the couple had four children.

He was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Neeley; two sisters, Narine Bradberry and Lucille Neeley, and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pete of the home; two sons, Ron Neeley and wife Erma of Piggott and Richard Neeley and wife Phyllis of Jonesboro; one daughter, Barbara Tice and husband Jim of Jonesboro; one brother, Doyne Neeley and wife June of McDougal; two sisters, Mary Conyers of Rector and and Jean Sutfin of McDougal, along with a host of relatives of friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 1, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Gary Hancock and Jerrod Hancock officiating. Burial was in the Post Oak Cemetery. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements.
