Ruby Lee Demay

Ruby Lee Demay, 87, of Piggott died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born May 1, 1921, in Griffithville, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Guinn and Molly Mary (Bell) Miller.

She was married Jan. 10, 1944, to William Theodore "Ted" Demay, who preceded her in death.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Demay; one grandson, Randy Demay; great-great twin grandchildren, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Eldon Demay and wife Peggy of South Carolina and Dale Demay and wife Letty of Missouri; one daughter, Mary Menees of Missouri, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 14, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Pastor Larry Portwood of the Morehouse Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Demay, Aaron Bell, Buddy Bell, Kenny Demay, Wayne King and Jeff Miller.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
