Zinnia Alice Stairs

Zinnia Alice Stairs, 96, of Paragould, a native of the Pollard area, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Christine Gribble and also was preceded in death by her husband, William Talmer Stairs; a son, Jimmy Stairs; granddaughter, Lorrisa Stairs; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Booth; great grandson, January Love Stairs, and 11 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Patsy Stairs of Lebanon, Tenn.; daughters and son-in-law, Janis Stairs of Paragould and Joyce and Fred Heiliger of Gladwin, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 16, at New Hope Cemetery at Pollard with Charles Carrens officiating.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1204 Robinwood, Paragould, AR 72450.

Heath Funeral Home of Paragould was in charge of arrangements.
