Lonnie A. Burgess

Lonnie A. Burgess, 56, of Pollard died Monday, March 9, 2009, in Pollard. He was born Aug. 8, 1952, in Senath, Mo., to Thomas Harvey and Lillie Nadene Underwood Burgess. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John Underwood and Fred Burgess, and a sister, Beatrice Underwood.

He was married Oct. 7, 1996, to Debra Meinhardt.

Survivors include his wife, Debra, of the home; daughter, Darla Blume and husband Kevin of St. Louis, Mo.; son, Adam Burgess of St. Louis; three step-children, Robert, Sean and Tanya Ludwig; 12 grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan, Michelle, Autumn, Dustin, Mark, Sara, John, Aryonna, Alyssa, Kamrin and Kirsten; four brothers, Sonny Burgess of Campbell, Mo., James Tabor of McClure, Ill., Frank Burgess of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Dennis Tabor of Pollard; two sisters, Marie Wyrick of Paragould and Ruth McNabb of Desloge, Mo., and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Hoggard and Sons Chapel in Piggott with Frank and Sonny Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Cummins Chapel Cemetery in Pollard.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Blume, Kevin C. Blume, Robert Ludwig, Shawn Ludwig, Kevin J. Blume and James Tabor.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home.
