Lions Club honors Russell, Dehls

Members of the Piggott Lions Club as they honored Lloyd Russell and Dr. G.S. "Gary" Dehls at their recent meeting at the Sugar Creek Country Club.
The Piggott Lions Club took time Thursday, March 5 to honor two longtime members. President Frank Staples is shown presenting a plaque to Lloyd Russell in honor of his longevity and service to the club. Russell, who celebrated his 100th birthday last year was a charter member of the local chapter and has a long and storied past as a local business and civic leader. Also recognized was Dr. G.S. "Gary" Dehls for 25 years of membership. Dehls (fourth from the right) actually joined the club back in 1959 but allowed his membership to lapse for three months in the mid 1980's.
