Ellen D. Robinson

Ellen D. Robinson, 81, of Rector, formerly of Jonesboro, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation in Rector.

She was born June 29, 1927, to the late Franklin and Floy (Wimberley) Hill at Leonard. She was a professor of English at

Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Landon Hill, and one sister, Mary Lee

Hill Sigsby.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Dr. Douglas and Patricia Robinson of Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Connie

Robinson of Fayetteville and Sally Robinson of Dallas, Texas; one grandchild and his wife, Giles Courtney and Annie, and two

great-grandchildren.

Visitation was at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 18) at the First United Methodist Church in Rector. Funeral services followed at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lynn McClure officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery.
