"Health results form a harmony between food and exercise." Although Hippocrates said this centuries ago, it still holds true today.

The "Senior Challenge" is a 92-day program for seniors that focuses on increasing physical activity and intake of fruits and vegetables.

It is a fun approach to achieving the goals of eating well and staying fit.

The goal of the Bert E. Sigsby Senior Wellness Center in Rector is to do a total of at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day for five days of the week and eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables per day.

Having this program at the Senior Center will create an environment that promotes and supports healthy behaviors.

The Rector Senior Center is located at 120 E. First Street. The phone number is 595-3082 for anyone interested.
