Ruby Dale Crowson, 95, of Piggott died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Piggott Community Hospital.

She was born March 24, 1914, in Letona, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Thomas Allen and Maudie Bell (Graddy) Duncan.

She was married to Charles Dallas Crowson on Nov. 28, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1997.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, an infant and Donald Ray Crowson; one granddaughter; one brother, Billy Ray Duncan, and two sisters, Reba Wood and Floye Wood.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Charles Crowson and wife Alice of Azle, Texas; two daughters, Joyce Hunter and husband Glinn of Piggott and Marilyn Smith and husband Terry of Lamesa, Texas; two brothers, Samuel Duncan of South Lyon, Mich., and Dewayne Duncan of Arnold, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Michael Cox officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway.

Pallbearers were Kent Crowson, Mark Janes, Sam Williams, Bob Tidwell, Kenneth Mills and Waylan Garner. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
