Coy R. Crosno, age 93 years, one month and nine days, a resident of Charleston, Mo., formerly of Hoxie, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in the Charleston Manor.

Born Feb, 28, 1916, in Hayti, Mo., to the late Lander and Ada Howe Crosno, Coy lived most of his life in Arkansas. He was the owner of Crosno & Son Constructuion and was of the Baptist faith.

On Dec. 6, 1935, he married Helen Louise Patterson who preceded him in death on Sept. 8, 1962.

He is survived by one son, Billy Joe Crosno of Walnut Ridge; one daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Carl Rose of Charleston; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by wife Thelma Harrison Crosno of Hoxie, to whom he was married on Aug. 8, 1980; by three step-daughters and step sons-in-law, Peggy and Doug Rogers of Walnut Ridge, Linda and Gary Rabatin of Little Rock and Reba and Dale Reese of Memphis; six step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Mary Ann Davis.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Rector. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with Ardell Polk officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo., in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Steve, Mike, Cole, Butch, Tony and Carl.
