Sponsored by the Rector Area Chamber of Commerce, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The pageant is scheduled at the bandstand for 10:30 a.m. It is open to any girls currently in the fourth, fifth or sixth grades who attend Rector Elementary School.
Contestants will be required to wear church-type dresses. There will be no entry fee.
A queen and two alternates will be chosen, with the queen receiving $50 and the two alternates $25.
Students who would like to participate may see Jade Mount at Rector Elementary or obtain an entry form at the school office.
The festival will kick off at 10 a.m. with a pet contest with prizes awarded to the cutest and most unusual pets.
There will be fun and games for children of all ages throughout the event and a band will perform on the stage.
The Rector Lions Club will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs during the festival.
