He was born October 14, 1929 in Ferndale, Mich. to the late H.K. Dudley and Erma (Short) Dudley.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, along with brothers Kenneth Dudley and Edison Dudley.
He is survived by his wife, to whom he married in Nov.1951, Joyce E. Mayberry Dudley; one son, Ron Dudley of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Jeannette York and husband J.D. of Abilene, Tex.; one granddaughter, Jessica Morse and husband Jesse of Bury Saint Edmonds, England; one sister, Helen Arnold, and husband Jake of Midland, Tex.; sister-in-law, Wandalene Dudley of Midland, Tex. along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many others.
Rudy was a Captain in the Midland Fire Department for 30 years, and veteran of the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Dudley Electric Company for 20 years, and a member of the Midland Barbershop Quartet.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Park North.
