Jim Hill

James Albert "Jim" Hill, 55, of Paragould and formerly of Piggott, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

He was born in Detroit, Mich., July 1, 1953, and was the son of Clifton and Jeanette Hill. Jim served six years in the National Guard, was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and was a factory supervisor for Garlock Rubber Technologies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother-in-law, Junior St. Cin.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Fay Hill of the home; two daughters, Dusty Hill and Misty Carrick and husband Bobby; father-in-law, John B. Hollis and mother-in-law, Betty Fay Hollis, all of Paragould. He is also survived by a brother, Terry Hill of Imboden; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Sondra and Hokie Holifield of Piggott, Brenda and Larry Brown of Virginia Beach, Va., and Marain and Marty Reisz of Owensboro, Ky.; brother-in-law, John Hollis and wife Sharon of Paragould; three grandchildren, Ethan Andrew Vandon and Dustin and Chloe Mitchell; six nieces and five nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 18, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould with Dennis Strope officiating. Burial was in the New Friendship Cemetery.
