Lyndell Brown

Lyndell "Linda" Fay (Lack) Brown, 72, of Canon, Ga., died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at her home. She was born March 25, 1937, in Clay County and was the second of six children born to the late Cecil Lack and Almareda (Haywood) Lack.

She is survived by her three children, Joey, Lisa and Rita, all of Canon; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers, David Lack and wife Billie of Piggott and Sam Winstead and wife Evelyn of Nimmons.

Linda was preceded in death by her four younger brothers, Herbert Lack, Thurion Lack, Norman Lack and James "Denny" Lack, along with a grandson, Jacob Cushing.

A memorial service was held June 16 at the Canon Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery at St. Francis. Pruitt Funeral Home of Royston, Ga., was in charge of the arrangements.
