Robert Earl "Bob" Simmons

Funeral services for 60-year-old Robert Earl "Bob" Simmons of Rector, who passed away on July 3 at his residence, were Monday, July 6, at 10 a.m. in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Marston Carpenter officiating.

Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Mr. Simmons was born February 16, 1949, to Dean (Green) Simmons and the late G. Doyle Simmons.

Bob was a member of the Rector First General Baptist Church and had been employed by Underwood Furniture Store for many years.

Survivors are Esther Simmons of the home; his mother, Dean Simmons of Rector; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sheila Simmons of Rector; a foster brother, Lee Roy Dobbins and Oleta of Kennett, Mo.; step-daughters, Mandy and Mike LiZenbee of Paragould and Kristy and Curtis Dawson of Cheyenne, Wyoming; three step-grandchildren, Christian and Hunter Lizenbee and Dakota Marsaa; a nephew, David Simmons, and a niece and her husband, Kassie and Scott Pratt.

Visitation was Sunday, July 5, from 7 to 9 p.m.
