Following the district championship game the local players posed with the trophy, the group includes, from left--Tanner Murray, Alek Samples, Colby Lovelace and Hayden McMillon. All four will be juniors at PHS this fall.

Four members of the Piggott Mohawk baseball team were among the starters for the Glen Sain Junior American Legion team from Paragould this season, helping lead the squad to a district championship and a trip to the state tournament. At the state tournament at Sheridan the team won their first two games, beating Bryant and North Little Rock, then dropped their last two as they fell to eventual state champion Sheridan and state runner-ups Texarkana. This gave the Northeast Arkansas team a third place finish in the state.
