Many local residents helped with Tuesday nights concert, including a number who assisted Alan Branton with the installation of the stage lighting. In the foreground, RHS graduates Chase Sain and Daniel Hester assist in moving sound equipment. Concert photos and a complete story about the event soon will be available at www.claycountydemocrat.com, and the concert will be featured in next week's print edition.

Famed lighting director Allen Branton directed an impressive crew in designing extraordinary lighting for the Rector High School Helping Hands Foundation's second annual benefit concert Tuesday night at the RHS gymnasium. CRT Stage Lighting of Poplar Bluff worked with Branton in creating a magical atmosphere for the fantastic show, which featured gospel great Guy Penrod, gospel/bluegrass group The Isaacs and hot new Nashville bluegrass group Dailey & Vincent. The concert was a sellout, with more than 1,500 tickets sold, and raised thousands of dollars for the Foundation and its work in assisting disadvantaged Rector students.
