Vivian Throgmorton

Vivian (Helton) Throgmorton, 83, of Piggott, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2009, surrounded by family and friends, at the home of Mike and Jan Throgmorton in West Fork, Ark.

She was born September 29, 1925, in Pollard, and was the daughter of the late Edd Allen and Dovie Adell (Brady) Helton.

She was united in marriage to Johnnie Throgmorton March 7, 1942. He preceded her in death June 17, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Elvin Helton and Harry Helton, and a sister, Joy Sue Jordan.

Survivors include her sister, Nancy Jo Jordan of Piggott; lifelong friend Wilma Jo Dover of Piggott, along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 6, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Danny Self officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike, Faron, Shannon Throgmorton, Johnny Dover, Steven Dover and Andrew Throgmorton. Honorary pallbearers were Sarah, Jessica, and Shannon Throgmorton, Katie and Holly Griffin and Allison and Dyanna Costa.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
