Leo Wayne Jackson, 82, of Paragould, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

He was born January 27, 1927, in Greene County, the son of the late John and Viola Jackson. Leo was also preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Jackson; brother, Wilburn Jackson; grandson, Jeremy Gibson, and granddaughter, Tracy Gibson.

He was a farmer, member of New Liberty Baptist Church and a World War II Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Katy Jackson; daughters and son-in-law, Jeanne (Ray) Gibson and Janet Reeves; granddaughters, Leslie (Brian) Wilson, Jamie (Jeremy) Mangrum and Brittany Reeves; great-grandsons, Colby Boyd, Connor Wilson and Jackson Luke Mangrum; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby Sneed and Opal (Wayne) Reagans; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill (Verneda) Jackson, Merritt (Dorothy) Jackson, Bob (Martha) Jackson and Randall (Debbie) Jackson; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Mike (Diane) Robinson and Gene (Maria) Robinson; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Linda (Steve) Treece and Lisa (Tim) Huffstutler; step-grandchildren, Valerie (Jeff) Shirley, Stacy (Lisa) Treece, Tyler and Josh Huffstutler, and Mattie, Haley and Grace Robinson; step-great-grandchildren, Zachery and Natalie Shirley and Colton and Landon Treece, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heath Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated at Heath Colonial Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, with Reverends Kim Bridges and David Stallings officiating. Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mike, Mark and Charles Graham, Nathan Little, Domingo Rojas and Mike Robinson. Sandy Rose, Robert Jordan and Winston Tritch are honorary pallbearers.
