Jessie (Plemmons) Smith

Jessie (Plemmons) Smith, 93, of Piggott, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

She was born November 27, 1915, in Guion, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Jessie Albert and Gordia Estella (Bangs) Plemmons. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Addie Donovan.

Survivors include her son Danny Helms and wife Nancy of Piggott; five grandchildren, Mary Denise Small and husband Harold of Pollard, J.C. Helms and wife Tonya of Piggott, Kim Helms of Conway, Trisha Allenbrand of Paolo, Kan. and Vicki Allenbrand of Dacula, Ga.; eight great grandchildren, Zachary and Alex Redmon, Natalie Small, Whitley Blue, Mason Henry, Jaclyn and Nicolas Helms, and Timber Allenbrand along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 21, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Mike Book officiating. A graveside service also was held Friday at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
