Denzil Poyner

Denzil Poyner, 68, of Piggott, died Aug. 25, 2009, at Piggott Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1940, at Success, Ark., to the late Johnie Poyner and Nora (Collins) Poyner.

He was a veteran, farmer, mechanic and junk dealer, and loved to sing and play the guitar. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Webster Aaron Poyner and J.W. Poyne,r along with one sister, Betty Cate.

He is survived by one brother, William Poyner of Jonesboro; one sister, Judy Poyner of Memphis, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Aug. 28, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning. Burial was in the Corning Cemetery. Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was in charge of the arrangements.
