Betty Jane Jones

Betty Jane Jones, 58, of Pollard died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at the Piggott Community Hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1950, and resided in Clay County her entire life. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a secretary until she became disabled.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Roy Lee and Agnus Gerline (Holifield) Fahr; her husband, Tony W. Jones; one brother, Billy Roy Fahr, and one sister, Mary (Fahr) McKenney.

Survivors include three sons, James Jones and wife June of Pollard, John Jones of Paragould and Rick Jones of Trumann; two daughters, Eva Denney and husband David of Paragould, and Amanda Burnett and husband Aderion of Pollard; two sisters, Lynda Dalton and husband Bill of Oklahoma, and Cathy Davis and husband Abe of Mississippi; 32 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Services were scheduled immediately following the visitation with Bro. Ernie Rinks officiating. Interment will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke. Active pallbearers are Elvis Noles, Elvis Bryant, Ron Banning, Don Kibler, Jim Parks and Tucker Myers.
