She was born January 3, 1916, in Cache Valley, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Bill and Myrtle (Carpenter) Gribble.
She was united in marriage to Roy D. Alexander on March 2, 1932, and to this union two children were born.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard. Lorene was a beauty operator for thirty years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on August 31, 1993. Her two brothers, Dwight Denver and William Dennis "Perk" Gribble, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Bill Alexander of Fort Myers, Fla.; her daughter, Susan Alexander of Piggott; four grandchildren, Ken, Kathy, Kevin and Kraig Alexander; three great-granddaughters, Alexandria and Priscilla Bañuelos and Madison Alexander; brother Cletus Gribble and wife Vickie; sister, Eloice Grider, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 19, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Bro. Loy Culver officiating and Charles Carrens assisting. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard.
Pallbearers are James Cowart, Howard Spicer, Robert Naes, Luke Rodery, Van Rodery and Terry Proffer. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements. The guestbook may be signed online at www.hoggardfuneralhome.com.
