Mamie Gean Morris

Mamie Gean Morris, 83, formerly of Rector, went to be with her heavenly father Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

She was born Nov. 21, 1925, in England, Ark., to the late John and Verdie (Durham) Brown.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Brandon; one brother, Luel Brown, and one sister, Elizabeth Bentley.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie Jean and Charles Wilson of Ballwin, Mo., and Brenda Kay and Jack Hirtz of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Shannon and Eric Hrnicek, Pamela and Arthur Billington, Scott Brandon, Amy and Chad Evers and Bradley Hirtz; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Billington, Abbey Billington, Brandon Hirtz, Makenna Evers and Shelby Brandon, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 12, in the Oak Ridge Cenetery in Kennett with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating.

Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
