Reuben Bell, Sr.

Reuben Bell, Sr., 89, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Piggott.

Reuben was a veteran of the United States Army, was retired from Hall and Korn Furniture and had formerly worked for the railroad while living in Nebraska.

He is survived by his son, Ruben Bell, Jr., and wife, Denise of Newburgh, Ind.; grandchildren, Caleb and Corie Bell and Lacie (Bell) Abrolat; sisters, Martha Blaylock of Paragould and Maratti Meyers of Piggott, along with a brother, William Edgar Bell of Decatur, Ind.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Alexander West Chapel in Evansville, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park.
