Jerry David Vowell

Jerry David Vowell, 58, of Paragould, formerly of Rector, was born Dec. 11, 1950, to Lowell Vowell and the late Emma Jo (Wyatt) Vowell. He entered into Heaven's Gate on Oct. 14, 2009, in the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.

Jerry was an employee of L.A. Darling, had served in the Army in Germany and was a Methodist.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Justice) Vowell of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Tiffney Vowell of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Ray Hardee of Paragould; his father, Lowell Vowell of Knob; four grandchildren, Addy, Emma, Anna and Colben; a special daughter, Emilea "Emmy" Vangilder of Rector; three brothers, Dennis and Kathy Vowell of Paragould, Randy and Sandy Vowell of Rector and Byron and Marsha Vowell of Knob; one sister, Joy and Ronnie Banning of Marmaduke; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Edna Justice of Paragould; one aunt, Trella Rogers of Paragould; uncle, Wilford Horton of Paragould, and many other friends and family.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
