James Paul Johnson

James Paul Johnson, 48, of Holcomb died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, as the result of an auto accident that occurred in Clarkton. He was born June 20, 1961, in South Haven, Mich., and was the son of Robert Lee Johnson and Patsy Johnson-Keating.

He was a veteran, and retired from the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Johnson; a son, Jonathan Johnson; a brother, Carl Johnson, and a sister, Paula Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Sophy Lem Johnson of Holcomb; three children, Jamie Johnson and Desiree Johnson of Guam and Skyler Johnson of Holcomb; his mother, Patsy Keating of Gibson, Mo.; two brothers, Robert Johnson of Gibson and Lee Johnson of Iowa along with one sister, Tracy York of Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 in the Landess Funeral Chapel at Campbell with Rev. Harold Dubar officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home.
