Pauline Utley

Pauline Utley of Berryville, formerly of Rector, was born July 11, 1929, to the late Charles C. and Elodia Lee (Bearden) Robinson. She departed this life on Oct. 28, 2009, in the Carroll County Nursing Home in Berryville at the age of eighty-years, three months and seventeen days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, R.L. "Doss" Utley in 1997; four brothers, V.M., Denvell, Ray and Bobby Robinson; two sisters, Myrline Fortson and Geraldine Shrout, and three infant siblings.

Pauline was one of the most caring and loving people in the world, that not only took wonderful care of her children, but babysat with many of the children in Rector. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Her survivors are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Meleia and Chuck Lewis of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Larissa and Chad Allen of Berryville, Ark.; grandsons, Drew, Ethan, Ty and Nate; a brother, Clay Robinson of Rector; two sisters, Phyllis Rhynes of Marksville, La., and Shirley Vangilder of Rector; many nephews and nieces that dearly loved her, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, in

the Ninth and Hafford Church of Christ in Rector, with Herbert Starr, Ronald Adams and Sam Jenkins officiating. Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery. Visitation began at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector.
