Betty J. Bailey, 80, of Kenosha Wis., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Kenosha Medical Center.

She was born on Oct. 30, 1928, in Greenway, and was the daughter of the late Auda and Naomi (Slaughter) O'Neal. She was educated in the schools of Greenway, graduating from Greenway High School. She married Clifford Wendell Bailey June 2, 1946, in Piggott.

Betty worked as a bookkeeper at L.C. Thomsen and prior to that as a clerk at K.A.T. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Her hobbies were knitting and she enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren and her dog, Sissy. She also was a member of Allemande Square Dancing Club and the Moose Square Dancing Club.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford Wendell Bailey of Kenosha; five children, Ronald (Sheila) Bailey of Kenosha, Linda (Larry) Morris of Fort Worth, Texas, Gary (Cheryl) Bailey of Oak Creek, Wis., Judy (Richard) Brenneman of Kenosha and Les (Debbie) Bailey of Kenosha; two brothers, Tom O'Neal of Powers Lake, Wis., and Cecil (Becky) O'Neal of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Maggie Harmon of Kenosha; eight grandchildren, Michael, Robin, Lisa, Erik, Amy, Beth, Emma and Meghan; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob, Avery, Caleb, Ryan, Haley, Sawyer, Peyton and a baby due in Dec. 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Auda O'Neal, and a sister, Bonnie, in infancy.

Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 23, at Kenosha Funeral Services. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 24, from Kenosha Funeral Services. Burial was in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
