She was born Jan. 1, 1933, at McDougal to Ralph and Ora Reed. She married Edgar C. Medling in 1948 and the couple was married for 61 years. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed golf, sewing and being a lifelong devoted member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ora Reed, and one brother, Carl Reed.
She was survived by her husband, Edgar Medling of the home; two sons, Calvin Medling of Paragould and Kelvin Medling of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Deborah Cahrier of Albany, Ohio; two brothers, Ralph N. Reed of Milan, Mich., and Larry W. Reed of Westland, Mich.; three sisters, Norma Dean Young of McDougal, Barbara Howe of Saline, Mich., and Carol Bell of Piedmont, Mo.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel at Corning with John Bradshaw officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery at Pollard.
Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was charged with the arrangements.
