Christmas parade slated for Dec. 3

The parade, a Rector tradition, will feature floats by local businesses and organizations. As in years past, Santa Claus is expected to make a special appearance during the festivities.

At the conclusion of the parade, the community will gather at the Community Center for musical performances by the Rector Elementary and High School bands.

The Rector Woman's Club also will hold a silent auction for artwork donated by RHS grad Joel Boyd.

As with any community event, the strength of the parade rests with the volunteers who make it possible. Those who are interested in volunteering at the event or entering the parade may contact Jacinda Welch at 595-2300.
