Laying it on thick

A crew from Delta Asphalt in Paragould works on resurfacing of Fordyce Street as part of this year's street project undertaken recently by the city. Approximately 11 blocks were resurfaced this year, with the majority being in areas that were experiencing major structural issues. City officials said the dramatically rising costs of asphalt have led to re-evaluation of the city's street program, with various repair and seal projects planned, in addition to the traditional resurfacing.
