Local Girl Scouts were a big hit

Local Girl Scouts were a big hit in Rector's annual Christmas parade Thursday night, dressed as brightly colored Christmas presents. The sparkle of the town's beautiful Christmas decorations and the excitement of the night's activities were reflected in the children's twinkling eyes and smiling faces. The parade also featured colorful lighted floats, music by the RHS Marching Band, beauty queens, antique cars, horses and much more. The parade was followed by the annual community Christmas party at the Community Center, where hundreds gathered to share goodwill, hear music by Rector school bands and choirs, and to enjoy hot chocolate, cookies and coffee.
