Joseph "Joe" Edward Jr. Whitaker

He was born April 17, 1928, in Rector, the son of the late Joseph and Eva Whitaker. Joe is preceded in death by son Joey and brothers Don and Albert Whitaker.

Joe was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife Jean of the home; stepsons, Phillip Smith, John, Will and Jody Newman, and his sisters, Jean Henderson and Ruth Garner.

Visitation was Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. with a veteran's service at 7 p.m. Funeral service was Thursday at 10 a.m. at Don Graham Funeral Home. Interment was in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
