He was united in marriage to Mary M. Stephens Dec. 1, 1940. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Stephen Crowson; three brothers, Fuson Crowson, Donald Ray Crowson and Dallas Crowson, and three sisters, Erma Smart, Iramae Garner and Faye Goodman.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Crowson of Piggott; two granddaughters, Kim Crowson and Karla Crowson, both of Little Rock; two sisters, Velera Carr and husband Ray of Kennett, Mo., and Marguerite Smart and husband W.F. "Dub" of Piggott; one brother, Ray Crowson of Greenway, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 17, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Lavone Smart officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway. Pallbearers were James Howard Goodman, Brent Carr, Gaylon Rogers, Neil Crowson, Joe Crowson, Jon Conley, Mike Morgan and Jeff Smart. Honorary pallbearers were Al Butler, Mark Butler, Ray Carr, W.F. "Dub" Smart and Ray Crowson.
