George Elliott Hurt

George Elliott Hurt, 73, of Marmaduke died December 22, 2009, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

He was born December 20, 1936, to the late Clarence Robert and Ethal "Bowman" Hurt.

He was of the Baptist faith, served a term in the Army and was a mechanic for many years in the oil fields of California.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Mae "Finley" Hurt of the home; two daughters, Georgia Massey and husband Wallace of Rector and Donna Wheat of Rector; one brother, Larry Hurt of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
