Mary Agnes McLeskey, 84, of Piggott, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, in the Piggott Community Hospital.

She was born Jan. 2, 1925, in St. Francis, and was the daughter of the late James Lowell and Barbara (Pittman) Russell.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Pobst in 1977, and Boyce McLeskey in 1999, along with two brothers, Allen Russell and Lawrence Russell.

Survivors include her son, Joel Kelsey of Fayetteville; six daughters, Constance Pobst of Pollard, Kathy (McLeskey) Cheney of Fayetteville, Michele McLeskey of Blackfoot, Idaho, Lydia Barnes of Little Rock, Mitzie Tucker of San Antonio, Texas, and Connie Anderson of White Hall, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Theron Russell of Cherokee Village, Ark.; several nieces and nephews; several grand nieces and nephews; a number of great-grand nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends.

Services were held Sunday, Jan. 3, at Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Charles Carrens officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Kelly Russell, Rusty Russell, James Russell, Bryan Moore, John Brawner and Gary Dunlap. Ray Pobst served as honorary pallbearer.
