IVA MAE VANGILDER

Funeral services for Iva Mae Vangilder, aged 88, of Rector, who passed from this life on January 9, 2010, in the Evergreen Nursing Home in Rector, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010, in the First Baptist Church with William Vangilder and Ardell Polk officiating.

Interment was in the Woodland Heights Cemetery.

Mrs. Vangilder was born January 19, 1921, to the late Norman and Calva (Randleman) Whitaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a member of the Eastern Star and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle W. Vangilder; a brother, Irvin Whitaker, and three sisters, Mary W. Vangilder, Faye Whitaker and Nell Jenkins.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Dale and Cathy Vangilder of Rector; a daughter and her husband, Linda K. and Robert Spann of Bartlett, Tennessee; a brother, Bernie Whitaker of Rector, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other

relatives and friends.

Visitation was Monday, January 11, 2010, from 6 p.m. until 8

p.m. in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector.
