Aaron Earl Garis

Aaron Earl Garis, 83, of Piggott, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born April 1, 1926 the son of the late John Franklin and Freddie May (Lincon) Garis.

He was united in marriage to Nova Lavern Brandon.

Earl was a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Johnny Jewel Garis and Paul Orvill Garis along with three sisters, Lela Roberts, Mildred Garis and Lillian Prince Crass.

He is survived by his wife, Nova Lavern Garis of the home; one brother, Virgil Garis of Enid Okla.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 17, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray officiating. Pallbearers were Bill Hartsfield, Hayden Hartsfield, Holden Hartsfield, Austin Hartsfield, Hayden Risinger and Adam Risinger.
