She was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and met her husband, James E. Pendergraph, as a member of her church choir. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2004, in Cape Coral, Fla. Anne moved to Piggott after spending most of her life in Florida.
She was the mother of two children, daughter Deborah E. Fuwell and husband Jim of Piggott and son James E. Pendergraph, Jr. of Crestview, Fla. She had three grandsons, Jim L. Fuwell, Jr. of Paragould, Tate L. Fuwell and wife Jamie of Paragould, and Wade H. Fuwell and wife Niki of Blue Springs, Mo.; three great-granddaughters, Alexia Fuwell, Leeanne Fuwell and Ebbie Fuwell, all of Paragould; one sister, Betty C. Chandler and husband Robert of Rocky Mount, N.C.; one nephew, Rob Chandler of Rocky Mount, N.C.; one niece, Susan C. Young and husband David of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two great-nieces, Chandler Young and Mattie Young, both from Rocky Mount, N.C.; cousin, Elizabeth Morton of Jacksonville, N.C., along with a variety of cousins and loved ones from Jacksonville, N.C.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements. There will be a small family memorial service in Piggott. Final burial will be at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville, N.C., beside her mother and father.
