A total of 21, excited, Piggott-area students gathered at the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center on four Wednesdays during January and February to indulge their passion for creative writing. At the conclusion of the effort each student received a copy of their 89-page story collection to take home.

A spokesperson for HPMEC noted that they are grateful to the Piggott Elementary School for allowing the young authors to ride the bus to the museum, Mrs. Amber Harrell for transporting additional students and to D & G Plumbing and Heating, Inc., for providing three $25 scholarships for this group.

The students who participated, in alphabetical order are: Makalia Beck, Megan Blue, Holly Boyd, Madison Chandler, Madison Crittenden, Beau Jett, Megan Johnson, Abbey Jordan, Courtney Krause, Colby Lynch, Quinton Mauldin, Anna McMillon, Shelby Morgan, Tyler Peters, Adam Risinger, Breanna Shaw, Devyn Staples, Ashlee Vaughn, Adrianna Walker, Brady Whaley and Meghan Woodard.
