Weather continues to be a problem for the Williams Baptist College baseball team, as they battle snow, rain and wet field conditions. Among the varsity players on the WBC traveling team this year is former PHS standout Tyler Grubb, son of Shelly and Mark Grubb.

Grubb, a right-handed pitcher, performed well in fall ball and worked his way into a position on the traveling squad this spring according to his father. His dad also indicated that Grubb has continued to show improvement, and has increased the velocity of his fastball to around 90 m.p.h.

The Eagles are scheduled to host William Jewell College at 1 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 19 and will play two seven inning games against the same team beginning at noon Saturday. They're also scheduled to host Holmes College for a JV game at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22 and will visit Lyon College at Batesville Tuesday, Feb. 23 with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
