Shirley Glass

Shirley Glass, 52, of Piggott, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell. She was born Sept. 8, 1957, in East St. Louis, Ill.

She accepted Christ at a young age and attended the New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard.

She was united in marriage to Clark Glass March 4, 1983, and to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. Burnine and Velia Doris Holland, and step-father, Gaylon L. Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband, Clark Glass of Piggott; two sons, Pvt. John Levi Glass and Jayme of Malden and Seth Michael Glass and Holly of Rector; granddaughter, Willow Marie Glass of Piggott; two sisters, Shelia Burnine of Piggott and June Jones and husband James of Pollard; father and mother-in-law, Walter L. and JoAnn Glass of Pollard; two sister-in-laws, Teresa Johnson and husband Vernon, and Antia Rodery and husband Van; brother-in-law, Michael Glass and wife Lynn, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 16, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Loy Culver officiating. Burial was in Cummins Chapel Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Adrian Burnett, Elvis Noles, James Jones, Van Rodery, Vernon Johnson and Scott Hester.
