Vonna Lou Spinks

Vonna Lou Spinks of Rector passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at the age of 80 in the Piggott Community Hospital.

She was born October 17, 1929, to the late Eric and Maybell (Hardy) Hancock in Rector. Vonna served as a teacher for 37 years, 25 of them in the Piggott

School District.

She was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church, an active member of the BMA at church and a member of the Arkansas Teacher Retirement Association.

Vonna is survived by her husband, Doyce Spinks; one son, Doyce Brent

Spinks of Rector, and a daughter, Cynthia Spinks of Conway, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 25, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the

Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Brother Don Morris and Brother Owen

Little officiating. Interment will be at the Mars Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the funeral home from

6 till 8 p.m.
