Piggott High School is well represented this week in Fayetteville, as both the Lady Mohawk head volleyball coach and one of her recent grads are taking part in the annual Arkansas High School Coaches Association All Star game. The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. this evening (Wednesday, June 23) on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Melissa Williams is serving as an assistant on the east squad this year, joining head coach Lisa Beasley of Marion along with assistants Kelly O'Rourke of Mount St. Mary and Vickie Gatewood of Nettleton.

On the roster for the east team will be 2010 PHS grad Kelsey Nagy, who has signed to play volleyball at Williams Baptist College this fall. Nagy, the daughter of Teresa and Brian Nagy, was one of two players chosen to represent 3A from the east, along with Katie Howe of Crowley's Ridge Academy.

Other players on the east roster from Northeast Arkansas are Haleigh Lloyd of Valley View, Mollie Arnold of Westside, Madison Rupard and Staci Ho of Nettleton, Mallory Russell of Greene County Tech and Alex Aycock of Jonesboro. Rounding out the roster are Morgan Suski of Mount St. Mary, Brittany Dyer of North Little Rock, Jasmyn Wilkin of Conway and Jacquia Bell and Mallory Burnett of Marion.

This marks the ninth year for the annual all star volleyball game.
