Brenda K. "Slim" Gossett

Brenda K. "Slim" Gossett, 42, of Neelyville, Mo., died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at her home. She was born Jan. 25, 1968, at St. Louis and was a lifelong resident of the region.

She was a homemaker and a member of the women's auxiliary of Naylor American Legion Post #643. She enjoyed shooting pool, playing poker, animals, karaoke and collecting lighthouses.

She is survived by her parents, George McKinley of Neelyville and Fayetta Waters of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Tresa Pennington of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Ponda Wood of Piggott and Brittany McKinley of Neelyville; one brother, Tommy McKinley of Doniphan and two grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Friday, June 11, at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. Visitation was held prior to the service at the funeral home. Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home of Neelyville was in charge of the arrangements.
